Peng Xu joined ExxonMobil in December 2007 after receiving his Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2002 and working in industry for several years. He assumed various technical and managerial roles in multiple research, engineering, and IT organizations. Through his career, he has been working in seismic pattern recognition, drilling advisor systems, production optimization, multi-agent systems and has led teams to develop capabilities and solutions in deep learning, reinforcement learning, revenue management, supply chain, finance, and trading. Peng has 12 issued U.S. patents and around 30 papers in the fields of machine learning and AI.
