OptaSense

OptaSense is a world leader in distributed fiber-optic sensing (DFOS), a technology which converts a standard single-mode fiber-optic cable into an acoustic sensor which listens in 10-meter intervals for thousands of kilometers. The system delivers real-time reporting of third-party intrusion detection, including geo-location, on oil and gas pipelines and their intermediate facilities such as block valve stations. It also reports leak detection with geo-location as well as tracking pipeline inspection gauges (PIG) as they move through the pipeline.
