Dan Stephenson joined AVEVA 20 years ago to help AVEVA move forward in the world of Project Execution Tools, specifically in supporting Materials Management and Construction Management. During his time with AVEVA, Dan has held various positions, including Product Support Specialist, Project Manager, Product Manager, Head of Americas Technical Sales and currently as a Sr. Technical Sales Consultant specializing in AVEVA’s Project Execution tools. Prior to joining AVEVA, he spent nearly 10 years working with Aker/Kvaerner/John Brown Engineering and Construction. In his role in the EPC world, he had the opportunity to work with project teams on construction sites globally. During this time, Dan had the opportunity to help these projects achieve a higher level of success by fostering the integration of the Engineering and Design departments with the Procurement and Construction teams, allowing these project teams to more accurately predict constructability based on Engineering progress, Procurement status, and Material availability. Dan’s career started as a project schedule support consultant working for John M Cockerham and Associates (JMCA) in support of NASA’s Return to Flight program following the Space Shuttle Challenger accident. During this time, he gained a high level of proficiency for Project Management solutions and methodology, particularly in the area of resource loaded scheduling. Bringing the knowledge of large scale, life and environmentally critical project scheduling together with the time and budget sensitive world of mega process projects has given Dan a unique set of experiences that has allowed him to have an understanding of the importance of integrating teams, solutions and data across the project lifecycle.
