The opening panel will bring together representatives from different federal agencies to highlight the strategies and initiatives that aim to facilitate a transition to greener fuels in the maritime industry. Efforts have been made by our panelists to drive better incentive systems and some call for federal subsidies for maritime infrastructure development, as with the aviation industry. This panel aims to look at the planned incentive systems and discuss their suitability for the industry through answering the following questions:

-        What fuels are in the future marine fuel guidance strategy?

-        Does this match what the value chain is experiencing in the market?

-        What new technological advancements will aid the industry in following this strategy?

-       Will there be financial incentives to encourage this?
