McAllister Towing is one of the oldest, largest and most respected towing and transportation companies in the United States. We have been providing reliable, safe and environmentally responsible service to our customers since Captain James McAllister founded the company in 1864. The company operates a modernized fleet of more than 50 tugs as well as barges and crew vessels in a dozen ports covering the entire US East Coast from Portland, Maine to San Juan, Puerto Rico. In each port, McAllister is engaged in ship docking, general harbor towing, coastal towing and bulk transportation. The company recently formed McAllister Towing LNG Services, LLC, wherein they will operate ATBs delivering liquid natural gas (LNG) as a clean fuel source for marine vessels.
