Sarimah Talib brings over 30 years of global sustainability expertise to multinational organisations across diverse industries including oil and gas, mining, real estate, and property development. She is currently the Vice President of Sustainability and External Affairs at Bumi Armada, one of the top three global independent FPSO players. She holds a master’s in environmental engineering and is a Chemical and Process Engineer by profession. Sarimah started her sustainability career at Sime Darby Group where she spent more than 18 years spearheading sustainability agenda within the Group. As the first CEO appointed by the Ministry of Green Technology, Water, and Energy, Sarimah contributed significantly to promoting sustainability on a national scale in Malaysia. Additionally, she has served as the Chief Sustainability Officer at Vale and as the Head of Sustainability Management for PETRONAS, setting the national oil company's net-zero carbon ambitions. At Khazanah's wholly-owned investment company, she assumed the position of Head of Sustainability. Underscoring Sarimah's unwavering commitment to excellence and enduring positive impact, she has always lived by the motto, "If there is a will, there is always a way".
