Is Your Integrity Being Compromised? 20 Minutes That Could Save Lives
How well do you manage your safety critical equipment?
Can you demonstrate that all Ex equipment is maintained in a safe condition?
Are you confident that your maintenance procedures & processes are being correctly implemented?
Over the past 30 years or so there has been a tremendous shift in attitude towards safety in the workplace – and rightly so. In our industry (oil & gas, chemicals etc.), where the potential for explosive and/or flammable atmospheres exists, the safe management of installed Ex certified equipment is paramount, with site owners and operators having maintenance management processes and procedures in place demonstrating that the risk of explosion or fire is under control on their asset.
Those processes and procedures often relate to some form of regular intervention such as periodic Ex maintenance and usually indicates the frequency and grade of inspection adopted on site e.g. a full detailed Ex equipment inspection every 3 years.
Unfortunately, there is often a world of difference between what a company says it does on paper (the procedures) and what actually can be seen on site (the equipment condition).
This webinar takes a practical look at Ex equipment management, drawing on factual information from actual independent Ex equipment audits undertaken over the past 10 years and provides a useful introduction to the international standard covering the inspection & maintenance of Ex equipment. Also discussed are the essential requirements necessary for the safe operation of Ex equipment.
