In this piece we preview the Oil & Gas IT Week Conference and Exhibition this October in Abu Dhabi.

In the last few years information technology (IT) has had a massive impact on the oil and gas industry. IT has helped transform oil and gas industry operations where the dependency of real-time accurate transmission of data, automated monitoring responses, improved tracking and mobility of assets amongst others make it a highly sophisticated vertical within the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.

In 2013, instead of having 5 separate related events, IQPC is launching the Oil & Gas IT Week Conference and Exhibition; one mega-event that will see heads and experts from the fields of IT, telecommunication, instrumentation, data management, IT security, automation, nanotechnology, and fibre optics, as well as operational heads, gather on a single platform for an entire week on 6 – 10 October 2013 in Abu Dhabi.

The Oil & Gas IT Week will present decades of research, a host of case studies and hundreds of experts from the field who will enable attendees to learn from the best situation analysis’ globally, highlight modern technological marvels driving operational excellence and identify the roadmap for the future.
